Guess Who's Back? Sports! Yay!

Ok, so I was BEYOND excited to watch the Lakers tonight. SPORTS ARE BACK!! YAY!

I was cheering and yelling and just being ridiculous in our living room and loving life. My kids were laughing at me and my husband was completely supporting the idea that my cheering was actually helping the team. Pure joy! Then, in the 3rd quarter, I started dying from pain and had to go lay down.

I am just so frustrated that I have goals to play basketball with my kids (too much too ask?) and right now I cannot even sit on a couch to watch a game on tv.

Sigh. Dealing with CRPS sucks. These past four months, I have been in a constant state of recovery. Four surgeries in as many months, with bacterial meningitis and then neutropenic fever on top of that. Not to mention my regular pain is still there.

I realize I sound like a giant complainer. When, in this moment, I am in a very hopeful spirit. All this just makes me realize that I have a much longer road than I might have realized. But, I'm on my way. Sports are back and soon I will be, too!
