My Love/Hate Relationship with my Robot Parts

It's been about seven weeks from getting my lower spinal cord stimulator and about four weeks from getting the upper one in place. This is most definitely a time of transition for me and I have learned a few things, which I am sure I will add to these lists as I go:

LOVE:
The Pain Relief!!!!!
The infinite number of programs to use
MRI compatible
NOT another drug (amen!)
Wireless charging
Can charge myself on the go
Don't feel the pulses
Parasthesia settings (feel the pulses) for flares
Needed a bigger purse to hold all my equipment (yay shopping!)
Have an awesome team to help me
Getting some of my life back
HATE:
The amount of pain relief (wish it was more!)
Charge myself EVERY day for almost 2 hours
Have to charge the wireless charger (like a power bank)
Literally redesigned my room to set up a charging station
Need to take remotes with me everywhere "just in case"
Need to take wireless charger with me everywhere "just in case"
Need to take charger for the charger with me everywhere "just in case"
The scars - from the back I look like Frankenstein
Will set off metal detectors
Keep in mind, this isn't a pro vs cons list. If it were, nothing would matter besides the pain relief in the pro list. That one is a hundred thousand times more significant than anything else listed. Believe me, the pain relief is worth it! 100% worth it! I am just trying to come to terms with what my new life is now and getting used to routines.
Down the road, I expect most of these "hate" list items will just become an easy daily part of my life, but I'm just not there yet.
