Today I had my mother lovin STAPLES taken out! Oh happy day! As painful as it was getting the ones under my arm removed, I loved every second! Getting the staples out is way better that whipping off a bra or a face mask at the end of the day! I'm free!!!!!!

Now, I do still have steristrips and I still need to be super cautious while it TOTALLY closes and heals, but after about another week, I should be in the clear. And that just makes my heart so happy!

I don't have any surgeries planned at this time. These batteries shouldn't need to be replaced until about 2030, and I am just praying I won't need anymore surgeries in between!

As far as my pain goes, I'm usually rated at a 7-9 daily and with both stimulators operating, I'm sitting pretty at a 4-6 for pain. Sooooo much better!! Now, I haven't tried to do anything yet though. I haven't gone on walks or really used my arms at all. I haven't done a single thing that would normally trigger a pain flare.

I am going to take it one baby step at a time. I will start with a shower. And I am just praying and hoping and finger crossing and toe crossing with all my might that I can get through a shower without significant pain and tears. I'm hoping to leave the days of screaming, swearing, crying, sweating and puking from the single act of taking a stupid shower behind me.

I still have to be really careful with my movements for the next couple weeks. I need the scar tissue to lock in my wiring and batteries extra snug. So I will still wear my annoying but adorable neck brace for a couple more weeks. I will cautiously move and not jerk or twist or lift or reach. But I'm getting there. I got those damn staples out, so I am one step closer.
